Key Responsibilities
System Infrastructure Support
Maintain and monitor on-premise and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for all systems.
Manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using company tools.
Monitor the entire system environment, whether on-premises or in the cloud, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.
Database Administration
Monitor SQL database servers for performance issues, bottlenecks, and anomalies.
Perform regular database tuning, indexing, and query optimization to ensure optimal performance.
Manage backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and minimize downtime.
Plan and execute database capacity management and scaling strategies.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design and maintain efficient data storage solutions.
Ensure database systems comply with security and compliance standards.
Automate routine database administration tasks using scripting or management tools.
Engineering Enablement
Work closely with development teams to provision and manage environments for development, QA, and staging.
Optimize CI/CD pipelines and integrate them with infrastructure components.
Support containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices deployments.
Security and Compliance
Implement and enforce infrastructure security best practices.
Assist in audits and ensure compliance with standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, PDPL, ISO22301).
Manage access control, VPNs, firewalls, and system patching.
Automation and Monitoring
Automate system provisioning, configuration, and scaling.
Deploy and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
Monitor infrastructure KPIs and respond to alerts and incidents.
Support and Maintenance
Provide Tier-2/3 infrastructure support for internal and product environments.
Troubleshoot system issues affecting engineering activities or product uptime.
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
