Role Overview A Mechanical Technical Office Engineer is responsible for supporting heavy equipment operations in construction projects through technical documentation, planning, and coordination. The role is mainly office-based and provides technical support to site and workshop teams by preparing reports, analyzing equipment performance, and ensuring all activities comply with project and safety requirements. The engineer plays a key role in tracking and presenting equipment-related operations to ensure safe, efficient, and well-documented project execution. Job Responsibilities Prepare, review, and manage technical documentation related to heavy equipment operations, including cranes, piling rigs, and lifting equipment Develop method statements, lifting plans, and risk assessments in compliance with project and safety standards Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine equipment requirements and operational feasibility Ensure all heavy equipment activities comply with safety regulations, project standards, and operational requirements Support procurement activities by preparing technical specifications and reviewing vendor/subcontractor submissions Monitor equipment performance and utilization, recommending improvements to reduce downtime and increase efficiency Assist in project planning and scheduling by aligning equipment availability with construction timelines Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards Prepare technical reports, submittals, and documentation for client approvals
