The Procurement Officer is responsible for ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services to support ongoing projects. The role focuses on balancing quality, cost, and delivery timelines while maintaining transparency and proper documentation across all procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and procure construction materials from reliable suppliers
Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and service providers
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery time, and compliance standards
Ensure all purchases align with project budgets and financial policies
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier databases
Coordinate with project and site teams to ensure material availability on time
Support cost control by sourcing competitive pricing and alternative suppliers when needed
