Core Technical & Safety Skills
Gas Safety Competence (Core Skills): Knowledge of Gas Safety requirements EN 30 (or local equivalent), tightness testing, pressure testing, and identifying unsafe situations.
Electrical Proficiency: Knowledge of IEC 60335 regulations (or local equivalent) for electrical safety, understanding wiring diagrams, electrical controls, and working with heating elements.
Fault Diagnosis: Ability to diagnose and repair issues with gas burners, thermocouples, igniters, and electrical ovens/hobs.
Testing and Commissioning: Using diagnostic tools such as multimeters (for electrical) and pressure leakage (for gas) to ensure safe operation.
Practical and Physical Skills
Pipe Fitting: Cutting, joining, and installing gas pipes and fittings.
Mechanical Aptitude: Assembling, leveling, and repairing the physical structure of freestanding cookers when needed,
Tool Proficiency: Skill in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment's.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, maneuver, and install heavy freestanding units if needed
