A prominent leader in the regional construction and engineering sector is seeking a mission-driven IT Operations Manager to head its technology department. This is a high-impact leadership role centered on two core pillars: Business Continuity and Operational Efficiency. You will be responsible for the end-to-end resilience of a massive, multi-site infrastructure, ensuring that technology serves as a seamless enabler for both office-based professional services and remote project sites.
This role is 70% Management and 30% Technical. You will lead a large, multi-tiered technical team (comprising User Support and Systems/Network Administration) to provide high-availability services. You will be the primary architect of the firm's disaster recovery and connectivity strategies, ensuring that mission-critical engineering and enterprise platforms remain accessible 24/7, regardless of geographical or infrastructure challenges.
Strategic Operations: Lead and mentor a large IT department to achieve rigorous service-level agreements (SLAs) across diverse business units and remote locations.
Resilience & Continuity: Design and implement robust failover and redundancy solutions for remote site connectivity to eliminate downtime in high-stakes environments.
Infrastructure Excellence: Oversee a cloud-integrated environment and a secure network architecture optimized for high-performance BIM and engineering workflows.
Security & Governance: Own the cybersecurity roadmap, ensuring data integrity, rigorous backup protocols, and secure access across all company endpoints.
Technical Stewardship: Oversee the IT lifecycle, from technical specification and vendor selection to the final approval of infrastructure investments and procurement.
