Key Responsibilities (Required Tasks): Improve Line Efficiency: Oversee key assembly stages, including sheet metal stamping, cabinet forming, polyurethane (PU) insulation foaming, cooling loop welding, and final assembly. Quality Control and Testing: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) department to enforce rigorous testing protocols, specifically for refrigerant leak detection (e.g., helium testing), vacuum levels, and electrical safety. Implement Lean Manufacturing: Apply Lean and Six Sigma (5S, Kaizen, Kanban) tools to minimize waste, reduce cycle times, and eliminate production line bottlenecks. Resource and Budget Management:
Managing operating budgets, including costs, and reducing scrap costs; ensuring efficient use of raw materials and labor. Coordinating maintenance: Collaborating with the backup team to schedule the maintenance of critical machinery such as dimmable presses, lightning forming machines, and lead fittings. Leading the workforce: Overseeing production supervisors and line workers, training them, and fostering a sense of responsibility and accountability.
